FOX & THE FALLOW

Tell us a bit about Fox & The Fallow.
Fox& The Fallow is a small hand crafted business. The owner Sarah Tebb designs and creates every item with love, with a focus on handmade floral headpieces!

What inspires your designs?
Inspiration for the floral headpieces comes mainly from the 1970’s. The idea of being a completely free spirit unbound to the confines of social norms inspires every crown that is produced.

What has brought you the most joy from your creative practice and why?
Seeing that other people love what I do as much as I do.

What can market folk expect to find at our November event?
Market folk can expect to find an array of different floral headpieces with no two pieces being the same. If you purchase one of Fox & The Fallow’s crowns you know that there is no one on earth who owns the same one!

What is it about Hustle&Scout that made you want to be a stallholder?
Canberra’s market scene to me lacks young creative people getting their work and ideas out there for people to see. Hustle&Scout has changed that and has brought a whole new market culture to Canberra that celebrates individuality and creativity.

MY FAV THINGS

Guilty pleasure: All things sweet and full of sugar! – I would eat desert for every meal of the day if I could!

First song on your ultimate mixtape: Electric Light Orchestra – Mr Blue Sky – Because it makes every day a happy day!

Fashion item you own: Floor Length blood red velvet gown – Because it’s amazing.

Place to unwind in Canberra: Mt Ainslie – bush sanctuary 10 mins from the city… there are not many places where you will find that in a capital city!

Thing you have made: Lace covered Chamois Deer Skull – It’s the latest piece of skull art I have done and I fall in love with each piece after I have finished… until the next one.
